Help me make the 2009 NYC Marathon More Than Just a Very, Very Long Run.

In partnership with SmallCanBeBig.org

How it works

When you sponsor one of the 26.2 miles that I'll run in this year's NYC marathon, you’ll be making a small, direct donation (through SmallCanBeBig.org) to a deserving Boston-area family in need. I'm hoping to get every mile sponsored—I'll need all the motivation I can get to cross the finish line.
But never mind me and what I need:

Every donation—no matter the size— helps keep this family in their home.

About SmallCanBeBig.org

These days, it’s not the size of the contribution that matters, but the size of the group that shares the same goal. Through SmallCanBeBig, every penny of every donation goes directly to a family’s specific need (rent, utility bill or medical expense) so the impact of each donation is immediate.

Please pass this site on—together we can harness the real power of small donations.

Great news! This family has met their goal of $1,500. Thanks to everyone who sponsored me and helped this family. Check out their page at SmallCanBeBig.org.

After the race, I’ll send each of you who sponsor me another email (after my initial thank-you) with some race-day notes, and a final tally so that each of us can know the difference we made together for this deserving family.

Go legs go!
